Universe of Superheroes at the beach had me do one of their big 4 foot long ceiling tiles to put above the register. It was the first painting so I had to go with someone as iconic as Catwoman.
One of the coolest commissions I got all weekend, a cover for an ongoing project of comic book covers inspired by Quentin Tarantino movies. I went with Shosanna from Inglorious Basterds. There's something about her calm disposition despite what she's holding inside that made me choose her....that and someone had already taken The Bear Jew.
I FREAKING LOVE SONS OF ANARCHY. I also love Tommy Flanagan. So much so that I named my cat after his character Chibs, and then painted a portrait of Chibs with a Chibs the cat tattoo. Gesso/ink on textured paper.
I love this show. I mean, I LOVE this show. Issue 1 of the comic I've been illustrating, Aspire, is out this month so I haven't been able to do a lot of personal artwork lately. I have a lot going on but I hope to post in a few weeks.
